Skills as an animator take time. Perfecting and know all the in’s and out’s of Adobe Affects could take a lifetime. And it’s not just about knowing After Effects, understanding motion, design, color, and composition all come into play.
This is why I decided to dedicate an hour each day to creating a new animation. Big or small, good or bad I am just going to do it. After it is done I post it to Instagram with the hashtag #HourADayAnimation.
I am enjoying the process of designing and have already improved my skills. It also takes disciple. I’ve been 100% everyday but I am putting out quite a few animations. Sometimes a project will take more than a day to complete. The point is to just DO IT!
